Default some videos of my starting problem with AEM EMS!

what could it be? new p680 battery in there. had an old p680 in there and replace it with new one still same problem.

1. start the car, start ignition, car fire right up.

2. drove to the store, came out and put key in ignition, press start, car will just crank all day. (note, voltage reading 12.1 on aem tuner software). this can also happen if i start it up right now, leave it on for 15 min come back, turn ignition off and then try to crank again and it will just MAY crank all day. sometime it fire right up everytime, sometime it will just crank all day till i use a full size battery and jumper it. this happen RANDOMLY, and doesn't happen all the time.

here a video of it

http://tinypic.com/r/2zyaoh2/7 look like stat sync not turning on :/

3. after i jumper it with a full size battery, it will start, here video

http://tinypic.com/r/8xptf8/7

4. and now i turn off car, take out jumper battery, and battery reading 12.9 volt and it will start everytime without a jumper.

http://tinypic.com/r/2lkqiat/7
this happen only sometime. I'm clueless with what it could be?

could it be the AEM ecu? AEM Doesn't like the p680 battery? spark plug? coil?

PLEASE HELP, this is driving me crazy!

if anyone have similiar setup like mine using the AEM EMS V2, can you please send me your calibration file? i want to compare mine to your.

Please note* if i connect my stock ECU in, it will also fire right up even without jumping battery

i have an 06 AP2 motor in there, crank sensor problem? since i know the aem ems series two only support up to 05 model? im a noob when it come to these problems.

ok read your other post first before this one, please keep your help requests for the same problem to one thread. As my first response would be different had I known the above conditions.

How far is this store? or how far do you drive when this happens? is it only short trips and the car has not fully warmed up? If so your car may still be running a little rich and when you take the short trip and shut it off there is a little too much fuel left in the motor. Then you go and get ready to start the car again and next thing you know it is flooded since it just shot more fuel into the intake.

Try this the next time this happens instead of cranking on it till the battery gets low, immediatly floor the gas pedal so the throttle position is full open. This should tell the ECU to shut off fuel and just crank. If your car starts when you do this then you engine was flooded.

This is the hard thing about buying an already modded car, you are now learning by "Trial by fire" instead of learning as you go.

if you notice in the first video my foot was on the throttle by the throttle percentage. it has nothing to do with fuel being flooded because car will fire right up with a jumper battery. my stat sync is not turning on for some reason. it seem like an ecu problem not getting enough voltage. without stat sync coming on it will not fire my coil and ignition. i will call aem today, seem like they need to up the pull down resister on the aem ecu.

I posted my reply at work so I cannot see your videos as that site is blocked. I have no idea what your throttle percentage was but unless it was all the way to the floor the car will crank injecting fuel as it does. But if you say it is not a flooded then ok. If it takes a jump from a full size battery then it is time for you to put a full size battery in the trunk and ditch the PC680.

It isnt so much your battery voltage when the car isnt cranking. You have to look at the voltage under cranking.

In you first video I see it dropping down to about 9.2 volts.

In your last video it is only dropping down to 11.5 volts.

Get a new battery and the problem will go away. How long have you had the battery? Is it charging properly?
