need help bad h22 in my accord wont spark at all!!!
in need of some help i have a 92 accord with a jdm h22 swap. i left my car running for like 30 to 40 mins while i was helping my sister with some car problems of her own it was cold out so i let her sit in my car with the heat on. well anyways i went into a store to grab a bottle of water and my car stopped running. tried to turn it back on and no spark. i got it towed back to the house and started looking at it. now i know that it has something to do with the distributor. now i have change the cap and the rotor and the ICM. and nothing fires. i know the coil is good i have cont. so i have a signal. all the wiring is right any ideas. also checked the ECM nothing loose everything is good other than this. i have been driving my car with this swap for 2 years now and nothing has happened until now. any ideas guys???
^ never hurts to try another dizzy. I'd rather try a known good dizzy over dusting off my VOM. At least you'll be able to confirm 100% that it's the dizzy and you can go from there.
I'm sure someone on a local forum would let you try a dizzy.

Yes it has gas. Fuel pump primes. Everything else works. I'm totally stumped I also have the internal coil. So every place wants a ton for a new one and no one has one in town I live in overland park kansas. I don't want to spend 3 bills for a new one.
an internal coil...? i have like 4 of those things.
but maybe you should test the one you have first?
what was the resistance measured with the two tests that you are supposed to take?
the procedure is found in the helms along with the acceptable resistance measurements. I wanna say that its supposed to be a little under 22k ohms.

you could by it from your local store and if it doesent fix your problem bring it back and get your money back.if it does then your car will run again.i know there expensive bought two for both cb7.lol
im pretty sure that the dizzy is the problem. but i just wanna make sure that is most def the problem i dont have alot of money to gamble with right now.
try a msd cap and external coil plus new spark plugs just for the hell of it could fix it also. and shouldnt cost u much for that plus more hp for later. that doesnt solve it keep cap and coil and try diagnosing it from there at least u know for sure u will have a strong spark from when u do start diagnosing other issues if u have any
ok yeah i changed out the dizzy and now it works after some timing work. i ran a external coil and now i have a problem with the temp needle it jumps like crazy when i drive down the highway. any ideas on that??
