rattle noise

Default rattle noise

my car started making this really bad rattling noise. it is only under acceration. and if i take the car out of gear the noise will also go away. more noticeable under load. uphill its very loud downhill u can barely hear it.

from the frot somewhere. i am guessing its my input shaft bearing or my throw out bearing. even though they are both relatively new they are not honda oem bearings.

If it's only making noise when you're in gear then it's probably something with your transmission. Try revving your engine while you're still rolling to make sure.

Also check the exhaust heat shields. They may be loose or cracked.

There is also the bearing between the main shaft and the case. (Other side than the input shaft bearing) That one went bad before the input shaft bearing on my b16 tranny.

Could it be the car is pinging? Bad knock sensor?
