Taillights stopped working! help!
I've got a '90 Civic STD w/ a B16a. This problem has nothing to do with the swap b/c it happened before the swap was done.
The problem is that my talilights do not light up when I push the brake pedal. None of them. They DO light up when I turn on my headlights or parking lights, but only the running lights. The brake lights or 3rd brake light WILL NOT light up. I did have to replace a fuse under the hood for the taillights when this first happened b/c it blew, but when I replaced it, it didn't fix the problem. And the new fuse has not blown. Also, I replaced the brake light switch with a new one from AutoZone. This still didn't fix the problem. I have checked all of the bulbs and they are all good, and also all of the wiring, and nothing seams to be loose or open. I'm not very good with electrical so I can't do much and I don't know what to look for. My car is gutted so I can see all the wires.
Anyone had this problem or know how to fix it or what it could be? Any help is appreciated. Thanx.

same situation here, i put 91 tails in my 89 CRX, just repinned my connectors, and now my brake lights are out!! mine work with the e-brake up, do your's?? also, when i hit the brakes my seatbelt/door open light light up in the cluster, and my seatbelt lights stay on, even though the wires to the release are soldered together. (i always wear my seatbelts, just had a sparco in the car so i wasn't going to use the stock belts.)
no mine never work. I haven't gotten a ticket or anything, just don't think it's too safe to not have taillights.. lol
Kinda fun when someone is on my *** though.

a while ago i had some cat catcher in a big cop astro van tell me to get my car off the road or he was going to call the real cops....very funny. would be nice to know what the hell the problem is.
I'm not too sure but.. According to the wiring diagram, all the bulbs are connected in parallel. So it's like DUHHHH.. There has to be an open upstream or downstream of that circuit. What I would do is check the upstream common point and make sure all the connections are not loose and not corrodded. Next I would check the downstream common point and see if the ground wires are corrodded or loose. That should solve your problem. And since your car is gutted, it should be even easier.
And here's another thing. Ofcourse you can't see the problem. It travels at the speed of 7 times around the Earth in 1 second.. Do you get it?.. It's invisible..
