97 ex 4 door, auto , someday to be a manual. Anyways the auto isn't too bad but first gear pulls nicely, then it drops to about 4k rpm after shift and dogs till about 5 again. Is there any way to get the tranny to shift about 4700 in second when first is redlined?

I have been reading about the obd1 harness's and chips but is that what I need to do?

Sorry if this is a dumb question, just curious.
