Default ECU question in a type r swapped del sol

Hey guys, I'm sorry to keep bothering you with questions, but, im trying to figure out which ecu to use, but im pretty sure their all the same after the chip, for the car, right now it has a p73 ecu, but the car is wired down to obd1, so the crank sensor isnt wired up. What is the best bet? Just to buy an obd1 ecu and jumper harness? But I would also have to buy a chip for the ecu too right to increase the redline and have vtec engage normally? Im trying to figure out how this all works but im just having a hard time understanding. And Im told that because the ecu looks for the crank sensor, and its not there, it ****es up the air/fuel mixture, which is why the car smokes a little bit? and runs like **** when its cold?

Specs
B18c5
Si trans
p73 ecu with skunk 2 chip
two Cels, TPS sensor, and Crank sensor

If you Sol is OBD1 93-95, then get a chipped ECU from www.phearable.net

You can send in your own (P28, P30, P06, etc...) or buy one from him.

UPDATE: Well just found out that, the ecu is obd1, I think its a p28 with a skunk two chip. even though it has p73 written on the side. I went out and bought a obd1 p72 ecu with a chip in it for $150 without realizing that my ecu was obd1 too. Needless to say, it didnt fix either check engine lights. codes 9 and 7.
Is there anyone close to north eastphilly that wants to swing by and help me out and tell me what I have? Lmao.

call phearable and let them know bout your problem so they can burn you a chip. and stop buying ecus. your obd1 socketed ecu should work unless the ecu is bad...

Yeah I now, which ecu should I resell? the p72 or the p28 im guessing? Is there a way to tell if its a p28 without having that oem label on the outside? It does not have that second board unlike the p72.

what do you mean by wired down? like converted or cut and soldered wires? also, when you say second board what do you mean? inside the ecu? if so, that means its been socketed, which is good. i'm also curious bout the p28/p73 ecu. you said the ecu is obd1 so it has to be a p28, but the barcode sticker on the side says p73? p73 is obd2...

Sorry for not being precise. I have two ecus now. A obd1 P72 ecu with a chip. and a obd1 ecu that I think is a p28 with a skunk2 chip. On the distributer the plug that connects it to the harness, well on the harness side the wires are cut and put back togeither using crush connecters. absolutly stupid. I wanna punch the guy for doing that.

Also, by the second board, I mean when you open the ecu box, it has a big chip, and a chip about 1/4 the size of it in the corner. I searched and said it was for vtec?
