Default OBD2a wiring harness OBD2b distributor***Question***

Alright I just did a GSR swap in my 98 Civic LX. I am using the LX wiring harness and I built a separate harness for the vtec and knock sensor. My harness is OBD2a and the GSR distributor is OBD2b. My question is does anybody know where there is a write-up or a diagram or anything that can help me convert the dizzy to obd2a so i can run the 10 pronged plug so it will be plug and play for my LX wiring harness??? Any help would be highly appreciated!

Its the same plug. The only different OBD2B distributor plugs are on '99 - '00 Civics (except HX and Si models) All '96 - '01 Integras and '96 - '98 Civics used the same single large plug.

its not the same plug. its not a stock dizzy from the GSR. the guy i bought the swap from gave it to me. its a smaller plug than the obd2a "big plug".

Why not post a clear picture of the plug?

Theres a part number on the side of the distributor (where it bolts to the head), whats the number on yours? It should read something like: TD-81U, TD84U, TD86U, or TD-87U

Yep thats an OBD2B plug all right, the lone wire with the shrink tubing is for the tach signal (OBD2B civics and integras get their tach signal from the ECU) You can actually swap the CYP/CKP/TDC sensors out of your D-series distributor if you still have that.

Basically yes. The only thing that makes a B or D-series distributor OBD1, OBD2A or OBD2B is the physical plug(s) attached to the CYP/CKP/TDC sensors The sensors themselves are identical. Theres no guide on it (i had for a long time intended to create one but just never quite got around to it)
