oem main/rod bearing question....help
I'm currently in the process of rebuilding my engine and was wondering which color bearings I need for a 2000 ITR.

look on your old bearings and caps it will show what colors were previously installed in the motor, that should give you an idea of where to start from
So, basically once I tear apart the engine and see the colors used, I can replaced them with the same color? Because, I was reading the past threads, and people were talking about using equations and such. I'm ordering parts and having a buddy of mine rebuild the engine for me. Thanks for the reply.
yeah as long as the motor didnt spin a bearing, you should be fine
might be a good idea to plastigauge to get some clearances, here is a good thread about colors and thicknesses

agree. these engines eat rings and exhaust valves. the bearings often times are in great shape and can be replaced with the correct color....provided you didn't spin one or cause damage requiring corrective machine work that is

If you are asking questions like this, you should purchase a helms service manual.
The crank has numbers on it, the block has letters stamped on it. In the service manual there is a chart that tells you what bearing for number/letter combo.
