hello guys. im in need of some information and here it goes.. well i was wondering im gonna do power windows on my hatch and well my driver side has hard time going up but no problem rolling down. when rolling up the window its like i have to roll it up and push up the window myself because when i try to roll it up without me pushing the window myself it seems like teeth skipping like its not really rolling it up. well im wondering if i do power windows am i still gonna have the same problems? please help me out.

Skipping usually means regulator has gone **** up, or window is possibly off the track. Try rolling the window down and spraying silicone lube in the tracks then roll it up that might help don't use WD40 it will just gum up the tracks.

 

I'd say the same, either you have a bad regulator or maybe the window is off the track, both will be fixed when you do your power window conversion though. You'll be replacing the regulator and you'll also be pulling the window out so you can make sure to get it back in the track properly.
I have had the window come out of the track before too which caused it to no longer roll up (power windows). Once you pull the door apart it's fairly obvious and easy to correct.

Btw, I wouldn't mess with using the silicone lube, it won't help either issue.

 

You either have bad teeth on your regulator or it popped off the track once again. Both will be fixed once doing your swap though, so no worries.

yah i really think its bad teeth! i always look at it and it dont go off track. it just skips it everytime i try to roll it up. and its i would roll it up and then have one hand and the other hand opposite sides of the windows and start pushing up!

so when i do the conversion everything is coming out like the windows and everything?!

 

Yes, the glass is attached to the regulator (by two bolts) so it has to be removed in order to remove/replace the regulator. The glass will go back in once the manual regulator is replaced with the power regulator.
