type r block with b16 head itr internals
Hi there. I have a jdm type r block with a b16 head with itr internals. My block and head has been port polish. Crank and rods have been rebalance. Just wondering if this is consider as a type r or a poor mans type r? Thanks
well taking into account the type R casting is the same as the B16, and your using all the type R internals, you can probably say you have a type R, just if you sell it , be honest with the buyer.
The ITR has a mildly ported head. If you had a port job and had all the ITR internals (valves, cams, LMAs, etc) as well as intake manifold, it wouldn't **** anyone off too bad. But be legit. Lying about parts is what will lead to you swimming with the fishes.
yeah there is a lot of stuff u have to look for on LEGIT type-r heads. i wouldn't consider or pass it as a type-r. A "type-r" is a TYPE-R.
I would consider your motor as pretty dope though lol. close though.
