Icon2 2000 Harmonic Balancer

I'm trying to replace my harmonic balancer on my 2000 LX and I'm getting conflicting info if the harmonic balancer is different for the Japan made or USA made models (of the car, mine is apparently from japan).. I've purchased a new one from a parts place and put it on and it still wobbles.. not just a slight vibration a wobble.. Anyone have any problems like this? Any suggestions? thx

To me, that sounds like the crank isn't straight as it should be. Probably got a warp/uneven crankshaft or the part where the crank pulley slide on is probably tapered or out-of-round.

Is it a stickshift? or the thrust bearings are worn and is making the crank walk in and out and maybe making it look like a wobble? But prob a bad balancer or crank....

Transmission isn't going to cause crank walk. The harmonic balancer is integrated with the crank pulley, and is the same for all engines of a certain type (sometimes all engines in a certain family, for example F22s all share the same crank pulley).

What do you mean it is "wobbling" Not enough information here. Is it out of round wobbling, (runout) or is it moving back and forth along the crankshaft axis?
