Icon2 Bent?

Ok my dad just gave me his honda that he crashed. We got the car running today after it has been sitting for 2 years. But the front has a little problem.

As you can see this is bent forward. That is what I'm guessing is holding the lower control arm.

Which doesn't allow this to align.

What is it that I need to do to re-align or what is the parts that I need to correct this. Let me know.

I think you are saying the part with the blue paint/line is bent? If so that is called the lower control arm.

The "frame" that the lower control arm is bolted to. It is bent forward, how can I bend it back into shape so those two bolts will align in the second picture.

Yeah, that would be a hard one to bend it back into place. Is there a way to unbolt that piece off the chasis??

IDK. I have to look during the day. But if anyone know let me know please. I have big plans for this car but this is holding me back right now. If there are any honda "Techs" on the forum is someone can send me there usernames I can talk with them and find out.

Thanks for your help.

The two bolts are attached to the radius rod. The left bar is the sway bar. The radius rod goes through the front support beam( I believe that's what it's correctly called) you would need a 17mm box wrench to undo that.

You could take it off and try to unbend it. You might be best just to get a new one maybe from a junkyard. I've never priced one of those since majestic honda doesn't carry them. I think it's something like 150 bucks or so tho.

Unless you're broke and need it going asap I would just get what you need from a junkyard or ebay Plus will save you from having a screwed up alignment which can then eat up tires etc. If not hope you got a vice or big pipe, big hammer or torch to make it easy
