Removing emblem adhesive
I'd use a heat gun. But be careful with that because it takes a while to heat up but once it does it can get really hot. Or if you have a propane or oxy/acetylene torch. But ya I'm sure you won't overheat but if you do you wont just harm the finish but you might **** up the molecular structure of the metal underneath and weaken it or you might shrink it and cause oil can effect.
Adhesive remover. You can find it at Autozone for a couple bucks.
When the adhesive is really hard sometimes I'll use brake cleaner (not fluid) to get it off fast and then rinse the area and wax it.
