I have a slight problem on my 96 i wanted some help tracing down. I go to start the car and let it idle and it seems to stumble out and then die almost immediately. After two tries it'll idle fine. Then once I go under load and start driving it'll choke itself out and die and I have to restart the car. This'll happen like twice and then after that it never happens until the car has been sitting turned off for awhile. Is anyone else baffled by this?

 

need more info the on car. 4 or 6 cyl? 5 speed or auto?

 

my bad. It's 4 cyl, turbo, auto. factory distributor and ignition. high flow fuel rail and precision 310cc injectors.

 

Is your check engine light on?
What ECU or type of engine management system are you using?
Has the car been tuned?

If your car has been tuned, you should look at the cold start parameters in the tuning software.
