Default Turbo to N/A

Hopefully picking up a clean EG2. Says to be stock internally, but turbocharged. What I intend for the car is mainly for DD. So turbo isn't needed in that scenario. So what I'm asking is what needs to be done to drop the turbo, and have a stock NA DD? Is it as easy as dismounting the turbo an swapping out the exhaust manifold for something more suitable for DD?? All help is appreciated!

New header + IM

was the p/s and a/c removed?

You could just keep the turbo...

The p/s and ac are still intact. New header and I/M sounds good enough. Would keep the turbo, but just doesn't make sense for me to have it for DD. Just my $.2. Thanks for response

if its a healthy tuned motor you will probably enjoy the Boost more than an N/A setup....

Especially driving it every day. since you said its internally stock i'd assume its on relatively low boost. if its a stock single cam motor making it N/A would be going really backwards and wouldnt give you much power..

basic boosted setup.. i'd prob leave it the way it is. especially if its a single cam..

but then again thats just my .02...

(oh also if its got hondata or some other tuning capability switching back to N/A will also prob require a retune as it most likely has fuel added and different maps for the boost.

good luck with whatever you do.

take the motor and turbo out and sell it. Use the money you make to put the motor you want back in.

Definitely do this and swap in some sort of b18 or even a b20/vtec.

Don't forget injectors

OP there is really NOTHING we can do to help you here with your decision. This thread will probably end up being a HUGE pissing match and arguement tomorrow....no lies.

A header, intake, stock injectors and re-tuned/stock ECU will be the key parts you need. Removing the oil feed line and blocking off the return to the oil pan will be small projects to complete as well.

Good luck
