whats the best gasket kit to buy for rebuilding a b18c. besides oem

 

OEM and nothing else.

 

people say oem but ive used several makes with good success.. the only exception is paper or cardboard gaskets.. dont use those... but other then that its hard to mess up the design of a gasket they are literally just printed out.

 

Either OEM or Cometic Multi-layer steel ones.

At least that's what we use on Subarus.

 

fel pro MLS, oem, or cometic, im using a felpro head gasket on my supercharged b18, they work just fine.

 

^^^I think the OP means the complete gasket kits that sell all the time on Ebay. They are used to replace ALL of the gaskets (head gasket, oil pan gasket, and so on)

Once more, OEM and nothing else.

The headgasket is the only one that I will say that its ok with going aftermarket. Cometic, ILP, Buddy Club etc.
