Default Suspention Issues....

Hey so I have a 1996 integra special edition and the suspention on it had a blown rear strut, they were skunk2 lowering springs and stock struts. So i found some tokico blues for a decent price brand new and a buddy had some stock del sol springs(wanted to raise it before winter). And everything worked out fine BUT!

1.The car rides pretty bumpy (worse than used OEM struts)
2.The car became harder to turn (No power steering)

Its not a very cumfy ride and its annoying!

My question is... Is it from the Tokico's or the del sol springs? And why?

Aftermarket struts tend to be stiffer due to a higher damping rate. They aren't as comfy as stock, but at the end, when your struts starts to wear down, it will get better. You having difficulty to turn is no power steering, and probably shitty tires.

Did you get an alignment? If not the change in ride height would have changed the alignment, which could be causing the steering issue.

I made me a spacer to raise my back of car, It did make it more stiff. But I don"t know why your del sol stock spring would be stiff. Before the spacer car was pretty soft on the tokico shocks, So I don't think your car got more stiff because of shocks.

it is stiffer but thats not an issue, its the bouncing, and ive had no power steering in it since i bought the car 8 months ago and it wasent an issue until after i swapped struts and springs

try going to the shop and getting an alignment to fix the steering issue. As for the bumpy ride, i think its the springs.

take off your struts take the spring off from the top hat and everything, press down on the top of the strut were the top hat goes into the ground or somewhere let it go if it retracks back fast theyre blown if theyre slow then theyre good, try that and let us know the results
