The big tube header wont be beneficial on a stock 1.8L GSR motor. Its better you opt out for the regular one.

A good header that can be purchased all over these forums would be the JDM ITR header. Its a 4-1 with a 2.5 inch collector. It flows enough to make good power.

Carb legal will make you stay away from anything that will give you decent power and flow. You are stuck with DC sports on that one. And they....uh...suck.

You can also get the optional skidplate, which is great protection against bottoming out and scratches

If you're in CA, a used Comptech or if you're a baller a new one from Weksos.

If you don't care about emissions then your options are pretty big. For all out power I'd go with the Hytech rep, or the RMF rep. For ground clearance and "bling" I'd go with the Teigwa Imports Toda rep.

Sorry to burst your bubble but Toda replicas are not "bling"...

You would need the real piece with the $950 pricetag to pull it off. I personally would take the Hytech replica or RMF replica any day for performance and "bling" over anything that Teigwa makes.

However, for $1000 or so, the OP can pick up a used Hytech, SMSP, or RMF header by searching the classifieds day and night to find a deal.

Not to anger anyone, but since were dealing with an engine with inline cylinders its a "header", V engines uses "headers." Am I correct? I see this EVERYWHERE, and for some reason it does annoy me.

Maybe you don't understand the term "bling". Just because it's a replica doesn't make it not shiny. And it makes more power than an oem type r manifold. For $500, it's a pretty good header. There's headers that make more power, sure, but having owned a hytech replica I would never buy or recommend one again. Ground clearance is shitty at best, and they are made like crap. The rmf replica is the only real contender IMHO. But ground clearance won't be as good as the Tegiwa. It's all personal preference, but I personally think this looks good.

oem style "headers" are glorified exhaust manifolds, tuned headers are the way to go, i see that now that i have experience with them.

RMF replica for 320 or toda for 500 that makes less power, you do the math

So then according to your criteria, I have believe that every header is shiny as long as its stainless steel. All but the ceramic DC sports are "bling" then.

And actually the term "bling" is not used on forums to mean "shiny"...I guess you made your own context for the word, but at least now I understand what you meant.

Got my rmf for 225 brand new, one of the best investments I've made

Yous are both dummies for arguing over a damn slang word.
What does this accomplish for the thread?
