Default ecu help

Hello I recently purchased a 01 integra gsr w a 98 jdm front clip, good susp, and a built but screwed up engine! The engine has stock bottom end, the head was ported and new valves were installed, along with Skunk2 stage2 Cams, springs, and titanium retainers. also has what looks like a skunk2 Intake, the one with short straight runners? Also has 450 injectors and a 255 fuel pump. When I got the car it had what lookd like a stock mitsu eclipse turbo setup. has a p28 tuned on crome. Ok so it would boost but the seller told me the guy who tuned it at speedquest, turned off Vtec???
Anyways, I yanked and sold the ghetto turbo system, and installed a short ram intake and RMF narrow header, and kept the 3" exhaust. The car is running like S**T!!! No Vtec, feels like its breaking up under acceleration!?!? So does anybody know what kind of chip to put in it? do i want like a type r map? New to tuning so any sggestions would help!! Thanks

you need to either go back to a factory ecu and injecotrs or have the chipped p28 remapped for a factory program and scaled for the 450cc injectors (or do a complete tune if you have the cash).

do you know what program the ecu was tuned with? i hope the motor is OK, sounds like the tuner didnt know what he was doing.

yes they can. you would need a stock gsr map scaled for the bigger 450cc injectors.

also, be patient your post has only been up for 4 hours.

Yeah the guy that tuned the car before i got it turned out to be pretty shady, I called him, He said he is very familiar with the car, but had no idea why the vtec wouldnt work, when the previous owner says the tuner disabled vtec after the turbo install. Tuner offered to "try" and tune it for Me since i pulled the turbo off for $200-300 depending on how long it took him to tune. what a bunch of bs, he just wanted my $. ill stay away from Freddy@ Speedquest Racing in Gurnee Ill.
