just play'in around for kicks to see what the mpg's would be if in lean burn all the time(3 valve mode) and not in lean burn(4 valve mode)? Is this easy enough to do without gettin to crazy of a mod? Right now I just have the wire from the spool valve pulled and it feels like its in not in lean burn but won't know till I check my mileage. Like I say just for kicks to see what mpg's are? Anyone every tried this?

 

You need to research this to learn that lean burn at the wrong RPMs doesn't improve gas mileage / fuel economy.

Im sure Honda does this on purpose and messing with the valves and fuel flow will lead to larger issues later on.

 

What is your current mpg? Just curious.

 

So I take it no ones ever done this or tried it? With the spool valve plug pulled she runs with both intake vales all the time and runs very nice I might add but mpgs are around 40. Can't figure how to make her run on one intake valve all the time?

 

Either disconnect or supply power to the vtec solenoid all the time, can't remember which. It'll choke over about 2500rpm.
