Default Bad Clutch

My 1990 accord has a pretty worn clutch. I can fell it slipping occationally. Will a bad clutch cause a car to hessitate upon accelerating in first gear or driving the car in too high of a gear.

If the clutch is engaged in first, meaning you have already released the pedal, and it seems to just not want to get up and go, it is possible it is slipping that entire time. And if it is doing that in a high gear like 5th as well, then you most definitely will want to get a clutch replaced soon. Doesn't sound like you have much left on it at all and it could actually leave stranded where you won't even be able to get it into gear at all.
