respraying front bumper
Hi everyone
I'm drving an european Honda civic EJ9, color aquamint opal metallic, but i got a lot of stone chippings? (don't know how to say in english). i discovered that the previous owner had no primer sprayed on the bumpers so thats the reason why i got so much. now my question was. if i respray the bumper, is it visible in total or would it be the color like it is now?

on pic it may be not so visible, but believe me, it is
so any suggestions?

i know of alot of guys who just scuff the bumpers and then spray the paint but i always spray a good primer that is made to stick to bumpers and then spray the color i have had better results out of the paint holding up and another thing is not enough clear and rocks will bust right through to the paint in no time. so maybe 3 coats of color and i normaly put about 3 good coats of clear on the bumper. as far as repairing what you got i would scuff it all down and respray the entire bumper to ensure no defects in the paint just in my opinion
would have more luck here

no matter how you do the body work, you want to have your paint color matched before spraying it. don't just go buy your aqua color cuz there's a big difference between fresh paint and your paint, trust me it won't match

thats why you blend the paint in which is a fun task in its self but its not to hard... i think you can youtube a episode from trucks this season on color blending they do a real good job of showing how to color blend

its best if you blend the paint so it want be 2 different shades of color no matter wat you do, if you paint match a bumper on a car unless its black then you will have to paint halfway back on the fenders and hood tht way ppl want b askin if it had been wrecked or not and the paint will look the same all the way down
