my buddy's car when its cold it will fire but die immediatley unless you give it gas for about a min then it'll barely idle of course unless u pull the vacume from the fpr then it idles fine but not the issue i dont think

it has no cel's new fuel filter fuel pump primes he took off iacv to clean it but to no avail havent tried another ecu yet but i dont see that being the issue since the car still runs after its warm and it doesnt throw a cel

any ideas would be greatly appreciated ? he thinks its the iacv but i told him no sense in wasting 200 bux on a new one just taking a wild guess

 

any ideas ?

new plugs , wires, cap & rotor... great compression 220

runs good after warmed up but cold start it just wont stay running unless u give it gas for a minute then it'll hold a low idle

 

subscribe for answer mine does the same thing if i give it gas it will kick up and run perfect it idles at 500+ and will start fine the rest of the day

i have this problem with my turbo z6 but i think i blame it on the t/b and having no fitvand the iacv wont open enough

 

but if it worked fine before i dont think u can blame that cuz it never had a fitv to begin with

 

Clean your IACV and TPS. Sounds like its smothering itself.

 

cleaned everything that we could think of ...

that allen type screw on the side of the iacv is not there ! just realized that what does that do ?

 

Its creating a vacuum leak. get that hole plugged and it bet it will run perfect.

 

plugged hole with a 12mm bolt and still no change :-( ****k
