Hey guys my EGG aka EP3 is blowing out the alternator fuse its done it 2 times already in 1 day. i thought maybe its the alternator so i did replace it but the problem keeps happening. i did do a search but didn't get any real answers other then check for wires that may be exposed and causing contact. any help would be well appreciated. if u tell me to use the search button ima cuss u out !

Check your ground wires on the alternator..

You have to be pulling the extra amps somewhere check your ELD it also could be screwed up

 

Make sure your engine ground strap is nicely secured.

 

You said you replaced the alternator. You can try unplugging the alternator and turning the engine on and see if the fuse blows. This is just to rule out the alternator.

 

thanks guys ! i believe it may have been from my sound system... but i had it in for the past year with out any issues... after i un plugged it all the problem went away

 

System must not be grounding right then. Re-check the wires on your system so you can hook it up again!
