What will cause a car to have power when the battery is connected but the key isnt in?
I had my negative terminal off when trying to wire up my external coil to the dizzy. When i put the negative terminal back on, the fuel pump primes and the gauge cluster lights up as if the key was turned to thh on positiong. What could this be?

Did you cut and splice the wrong wires?

 

i think i did, but i took everything that i put on off.

94 civic ej2 w/h22a1 swap

i check all fuses, unplugged the ignition switch harness(both) from under steering column. i unplugged all 3 shock tower plugs. funny thing is, when all 3 are unplugged, the gauge cluster(brake and check engine) lights are still on. when i plug in the 2nd largest, the fuel pump primes. what else should i check?
