In my experience on forums, if people have a riveting story, they take time to type it out, but if it involves something illegal, then they say they don't want to explain it.

If the shoe fits....

Doesn't make sense why you would possibly go to jail for a year, have a $5,000 fine and/or a 30 day suspension....unless.....you were going over 100mph......

Idk why they arrest drunk drivers...unless they drank a whole case of alcohol. Right?

Recently, a local kid was "racing", and like in most cases didn't know how to properly drive (hence why he wasn't on a track), and he killed a woman and her child. I don't care what speed someone is at if they're doing it in public streets, it's an immature, lame act. I believe jail time, fines, etc. are completely legitimate. I could give two ***** about someone claiming they're doing it "safely", give me a break.

I can guarantee the people who do not support these thoughts, are only the ones who engage in street racing, and or other childish things.
It's just not justifiable, simple as that.

To the OP, what's the story on why it happened if you don't mind me asking. Obviously RCW 9A.36.050 is trying to be included, if not other incriminating laws?

I completely agree...I won't lie, I have raced on the street a couple times but it was out on an open road with nothing but trees. And instead of hitting a person I very well could have hit a deer and going at those speeds...not good. So now I think before I act and I go to the track instead. I mean, I am no Ken Block, but IMO I am a better, safer, more aggressive driver than A LOT of people in my town. But again, there is no justification.

very good point. i would never try to endanger anyone else because of my stupidity. my idea of extreme driving is going 75 on the freeway. anyone that is dumb enough to race on the street is nothing but a kid that has a license. not to mention that lots of idiots dont have thier licenses
