any easy way to ge the rear motor mount out?
^ditto. im in the process of putting the new engine in though.
There really is no easy way. Acura made that part to be a p.i.t.a. so yeah.... you could remove the intake manni, but thats no fun either.

Good luck with that.
2 years ago I removed my stock B18C1 intake mani in order to replace the heater core, all coolant hoses, and the rear engine mount. Biggest PITA ever!!!! I spent 2 days scraping the damn old gasket material off the head and intake. It would have been easier for me to have left the intake manifold on and pull the whole damn engine out.
I spent 5 days doing all that, and earlier that year did even MORE work on the engine with the engine pulled out, and that only took me 4 days.

LOL i know what you mean, i bought a b20b, and when i tried to remov the giraffe IM, i couldnt even do that i had to beat the manifold with a wooden block as i pryed it, and that gasket was a PITA, it took me about 2 days also to scrape it all off, not to mention my busted knuckles, but it should be fine i only have 96 miles on the engine.....
That is why you should just pull off the head. You can also get your valves reseated, and the head decked and get it all cleaned up. There are a lot of other things that comes up when removing the head. Water pump, new head gasket, new T belt, and know what? You can get to your motor mount now.

The truth, idk? i just got some new mounts and i just wanna put them on. all my mounts were good when i put my motor in 98miles ago, i knew i had to put the driver side mount on cause the whole inner piece tore out, and my motor was leaning back towards the driver side firewall, so i replaced that one, and i also replaced the tranny mount, and when i took that one out, it was also in bad shape, so i just wanna replace the rear mount one too.
Hey so did you give it a go? I'm in the same situation as you - I think the rear mount is good but some of my other ones were bad so I'd like to replace it.
If you did how long did it take and any tips?
