Default car cannot rev over 3,000 rpm

I am currently switching over to mpfi and all hell is breaking loose. Code 4 and code 16 is showing and my air suction sounds hollow and gruely!! I know how to get rid of the code 4 but still stuck on the code 16. I tried to drive my car but it backed fired at about 3200 rpm. I can't rev over 3000 rpm. anyone please help me. maybe a vacuum leak? don't know so any advice would be great.

thanks y'all

the reving is prolly because you did not switch the tps wires around. Flip the two outside wires around.

Your problem is the code 4. Crank angle sensor. thats what is causing you to backfire and limit your rev to 3200. I too have this problem. in its advanced stages it will turn off on you randomly

You did put the Si distributor in didn't you? and did you run the 2 extra wires from the dizzy to the ECU?

Make sure the distributor you are using is in good shape, I have seen lots of problems with Swaps similar to yours related to Distributor problems, either the igntior is bad, or the magnetic pickups on the TDC sensor/Crank Sensor are bad..
Try borrowing a extra distrib to see if it makes a diff... If not it is probably your wiring, but the dpfi to mpfi is a pretty straight forward wiring swap.
