2 days ago my driver side seatbelt broke. I have a DA. (So there automatic). I look online to view the Safety Warranty. There is a Lifetime warranty. I guess my question is, Has anyone gone to get there Whole Seatbelt unit fixed? What is covered in the fix? I was told the motor is not covered. Thanx

 

I had both motors, rails, sliders, and belts, replaced under warranty.

I've read some dealerships try to pull "that isn't covered" crap, but the seatbelt system, as a whole, is what is covered. I simply started off by asking to speak to the shop manager, who didn't even try and argue about warranty coverage.

 

all seatbelt components are covered if it is stuck in the far forward position when you take it in. If it is stuck in the back position, manually move it forward using the tool. then take it in. everything will be covered. I just had mine fixed a week ago and they told me the only reason they were covered was because they were stuck far forward

 

which dealer did u go to in so cal?
