Any boosting ludes using the "afc hack"?
I'm think about trying this until i can afford a standalone, I'm thinking about the AEM. I thought it would be a way to ditch the fmu+pump and make the eventual transition to the ems eaiser. I was wondering if anyone has tried it on the h22 yet. Can I use 550's instead of the dsm 450's everyone else seems to use?
man you guys ******* rock, since no one helps I've ordered rc 550's, aem fuel rail, aem fpr, and a v-afc. i hope this stuff works.
I know lots of people that are using the afc hack with smaller injectors ~370cc. Almost everyone of them has some sort of tuning issue. That is why I went with Hondata. But to each their own.
i did the vafc hack with 440's and i was real rich at idle....i was registering 12.5:1 on the FJO during idle.....i didn't have an adjustable fpr at the time so my fuel press. was high (50 psi w/vac. hose on) and had to do the TOO relief hole and it was still rich....the car ran alright during part-throttle but i would have a hesitation whenever i tried to apply full throttle....my car is a type SH also....550's are kinda large for the "hack" but you can just lower the fuel pressure to make them flow less
i have since gotten the aem ems and no longer have the hesitation and my car feels a lot better....sold off the vafc, avcr, and j&s since the ems takes care of those

did the car run ok with the hack or would you recomend the smae thing but with less fuel pressure? i already have a vafc and can get a set of injectors for free...its worth a shot

dude you have some serious anger management issues. I'm soooooooo sick of everytime someone asks a question some know it all says "DO A SEARCH!!!!" I've been a member of this board a HELL of alot longer that you. If you would have read the subject you would have known this thread was prelude specific. I've searched and NOWHERE have i found any information on ppl using large injectors and using a vafc, I don't think the vafc will be able to correct enough for that large of an injector. so really dude............ WHATEVER!
