Default oil pump failure???

I have a mild street all motor gsr build. It has wiseco 12:1 forged pistons eagle rods. So I waS driving along and the car began to sound like it had a slight miss fire. Then my oils light came on, car had full 4 quarts and kept driving, light came on when idle was bellow 900, kept driving got to my destination and car sounded like it was knocking and tapping and immediately shut it off, and Didn't restart the car until I got home. It sounded normal again but shut it off after 3 mins. So I can not come to a conclusion of its my oil pump, and or if my motor is done for or what the matter could be. I'm going to try and get a gauge to test for oil pressure tomorrow.

rip the pan off and pull the rods caps off and look at your bearings

The crank is likely ruined now because you kept driving it. Time for another rebuild.

Yeh the mains are done. I'm it sure if it was due to the oil pump. But time for a rebuild

Oem gsr. I was thinking maybe that could have had something to do with it. Im going to inspect it when I get to my friends house to see if it is visibly damaged in anyway

I've had a pump break, luckily no damage, and it happened at 9000rpm. Also the car i now DD, had broken 2 pumps with an OBD0 crank pulley on it, both times the driver caught it, and had no damage
