Icon2 Car just died on the Highway today

I was cruising down the highway today when all of a sudden I notice the tach just drop like a stone from 3000 to zero, but the weird part was none of the indicator lights on the dash came on to let me know that the engine had in fact died. After seeing that it took a few seconds to realize that I was just coasting I barely even felt the engine go. Earlier in the day when I was backing out of a parking spot the engine stuttered for a few seconds then went away as well. Anyway now the engine just turns over but doesn't catch at all.

Anybody have any ideas as to where I should look first? ICM? fuel system? some other relay?

Thanks any info is much appreciated!

Sounds like the igniter (ICM).

So I just did I quick check on things for the car. When I put the key in and turn to the on position the check engine light comes on for a few seconds then turns off, and also I can hear the fuel pump humm for about 3 seconds as well. I was going to check the plugs for spark when I pulled the wires out and saw that each plug chamber has a pool of oil about a quarter way up the plug so I know now my lower gaskets are finished but could this cause it to not start?

yea since oil might of went into it and prevent it from sparking. thats bad you be lucky if its just your gasket.

Check your timing belt if you haven't already.
