losing electrical power/bogging
When i turn on my lights, turn signal, an heater my motor chokes out when at idle or driving at a steady speed/rpm. Ill be watching the rpms at idle and it will go from 800-900 to 0. then i will rev it up to about 2000-2500 ish and once i turn all that on it will drop 1000-1500 quick and stay around 500 ish (or it will just die). When driving i will watch my RPM gauge just die off but when i give it gas the RPM's will come right back up.
I did have my battery light come on and off so i changed my altinator and it fixed it. I put in the same altinator i had before (65 amp). I do have an ignition cylander problem also which is when i turn the key to the "run" position and the gauge cluster will not come on. but, when i wiggle the key inside of it the cluster will come on so i know i need to change the cylander.
heres my setup as far as motor goes for the bogging/dying:
'91 hatch, lsvtec, obd0, pr3 ecu, NEW 65 amp altinator and belt.
It has never done this before until i put in this new altinator. its like the car isnt compensating for the heavy load on the altinator.
