I think my cruise control has died.

Tried to activate it yesterday, and the "Cruise Control" light illuminates on the dash like normal, but the car just decelerates as it would normally when I take my foot off the pedal...

Any ideas what to check first? It's been in the high 30's lately, so I have zero ambition to screw with the car outside, but I use the Cruise quite a bit, and am starting to miss it.

 

look into testing the CC module. if your light comes on, the set switch should be working. get a factory manual if you don't have one. ebay

not to hijack, but would no dash light illuminating on a 94 mean that the set button is bad?
