Cruise control only works ocassionally
I have a 1991 Accord LX coupe with automatic transmission.
I am having a problem with the cruise control in that it only works sometimes and seemingly less frequently.
When I turn the cruise control on using the button located on the left side of the dash the green light illuminates in the switch. When I press the Set button on the steering wheel the Cruise light on the instrument panel will illuminate but the speed control does not engage. The light will stay illuminated though.
I have tried putting my foot under the brake pedal when "setting" the speed but that makes no difference. I have also checked the electrical connector for the control module under the hood and checked all vacuum lines and all seems to be in working order.
Sometimes the speed/cruise control will work just fine.
Can someone here give me some troubleshooting tips to find the problem?

i'll pm you a link to the manual.
i just solved this problem. for me it was a loose connection at the 6 pin connector under the steering column.
