My Extra Slow ED7 Build Thread
Whats up guys. This is going to be my first documented build thread here on HT.
I purchased a 1990 Civic SI about 3 months ago. I needed another car because I was tired of crazy people driving and parking around my college campus. It had a barely running D15b, dents everywhere and molding interior. I wish I took some pictures the day I picked it up, but I didn't
. The car's registration was backed up 5 years, but the owner paid all of the fees and I picked it up for $1200.
I had ZERO plans for it since it is my daily, but I came up with a deal I couldn't pass up on a full B18C1 swap.
So things have changed.
Plans so far:
Engine:
BAR
Hydro Conversion
Mild NA Build
This is going to be a very slow build. Enjoy!
Basic Pictures

I shampooed the interior and found some MINT SI Seats

Updated the original post with some pictures on how she sits right now. Crappy phone ones for now.
I made a few orders for misc bolts, weather stripping and parts for my GSR. Hopefully they'll all be here this week

A few updates:
After changing all of my brakes I still had some crazy shaking coming from the wheels. With the help of Tyson, I picked up a new rack end bushing and tie rod ends.
It was a pretty pain in the *** to get the bushing out. After about 20 minutes working at it with a flat head screw driver and some misc precision hooks, I got it out!
f*ck you bushing!

It was removed with the steering rack still on the car. I didn't have any real issues either, besides the inner tie rod lock washer. No need to remove the whole rack if you plan on doing the same.
My new outer tie rods!

I was also having an issue with having a water fall built into my sunroof. Found out the lines were clogged and eaten??

I also stealth installed my christmas gift from my girlfriend the other day. Viper 5901
Don't have any real pictures of the install because my hands were full, it everything is behind the dash all tucked away. I even rerouted my ignition wire harness.

Tilt, glass break, and back up battery as well. Still waiting for my new back up battery though.. I trashed that crappy DEI one..
