hey, guys... bad day today...
i hit a BIG focking pothole full of water... and yes i broke my front chin spoiler and engine is strugling...
i even have the AEM bypass valve <------ WET!!... hope it worked... i couldn't see ANYTHING 'cause it was poring bad and it was pitch black outside... oh, and even the valve cover is wet, too...
i thought i'd get some kind of codes since engine RUNS but didn't get any codes or anything but... the engine is strugling... sounds like miss firing... and no VTEC... still no codes...
what happens(does it even run?) if moisture or water gets inside of engine?
anyone with similar experience? thanks in advance...

If your engine ingests too much water it can experience hydrolock. Simply put, water does not compress, and when the piston comes up on the compression stroke, something has to give; usually it is the connecting rod.So you may have a bent connecting rod or two. Hope not, good luck.
I just thought of another possibility:water can get in the distributor and cause ignition misfire-seen it happen to cars that get the engine steam cleaned. Pull the distributor cap and make sure all is dry inside.

It more than likely is a wet distributor. When the engine hydrolocks believe me you will notice. Try pulling your cap and wires and letting everything dry for a day or so. If you are impatient then you could try a hair dryer to get out any possible moisture. If you need an igniter then I have one for sale.
Connecting rods don't yeild much. They generally suffer no damage or break. I'd pull your plugs and perhaps take out your CAI and let things dry out for several hours to a day.
