Default f20b 6th gen accord TPS problem

I get a code for mt tps. How do i check it and know if its good or to adjust it correctly? Would that have anything to do with my idle being at 3,000rpm? Any help would be great thanks!

Your first order of business should be to make sure the TPS is receiving power and is communicating with the ECU. This can be easily done by checking the ground wire, power wire (for 5v), and the signal wire with a voltmeter.

The TPS signal wire should read similar to these voltages:

Idle= 0.45v-0.50v
WOT= 4.5v-5v

(Note: To adjust voltages, you will need to loosen the TPS, then turn it clockwise or counter-clockwise to achieve the correct voltage)

If you are not getting anything from the power wire, you will need to find the reason why. Then once you have power, make sure the TPS then works by testing the signal wire.

If you are not getting anything from the signal wire or the signal wire connector on the TPS, your TPS could very well be broken.

Obviously for the ground, make sure that it is functioning as such. I don't hear about those being the problem very often, but if all else fails check it out.
