Default when do my endlinks need to be changed

just picked up an 05 element with some higher milage. overall its in great condition but i was looking at the suspension and checking for loose and worn parts. i noticed the rear endlinks had a slight amount of give. the give was noticed under the rubber joint on the part attached to the control arm. the endlink is not cracked or anything, but that give and feel of almost internal rubbing had me wonder if there is anything in particular to check to know to change them. thanks to the suspension techs for the help
