Default not going back together

I just ripped down a 96' gsr trans that I just picked up. Wanted to check the syncros and what not. Everything is in good shape. I went to put it back together and it will not go. When I take out the main shaft thrust washer it fits and seals just fine. Am I doing something wrong? no new parts just checkin it out and cleaning. I will double check the main shaft in the morning just to make sure its together right. So it should go together without a problem right.

Something is on upside down on the mainshaft if taking out the spring washer solves the problem.

Well I don't know what I did but it's together now. I took the mainshaft apart and then put it back together and It works now. So who knows.
