I started this thread to estimate about how long my engine would last if i boosted it. it's my dd and i drive alot. I have the complet turbo kit already and im getting a skunk 2 intake manny. all the bolt ons are pretty much already on. I'm looking to run 7 lbs of boost.

I know there are alot of stock ls engines boosted so if your could post your set up and millage thats on it or your old set up and millage it quit on you. Thanks alot.

 

What is this "boost" thing you speak of?
Perhaps the guys in the forced induction forum might know

 

x2 you just posted in all motor aka naturally aspirated aka NON TURBO lol but to answer your question an internally stock ls can handle 8 lbs of boost daily but life expectancy mearly depends on how good of a tune and driving

 

Not necessarily, 8lbs of boost on a small T3/57 trim is alot different than 8lbs on say like aGT4082R (or something like that)
Check the FI forum. Theres some extremely smart individuals over there. Search and read. Youll start to see whos telling the truth and whos full of shiz!
