garrett 42/.48a/r on a stock ls
will this turbo be good on a stock ls since it spools up quick. i'm only going to rev to 7k. i'm looking to hit 300hp on this turbo. will it be able to breath good without losing boost?

Re: garrett 42/.48a/r on a stock ls (redlseg)
I use the same turbo on my GSR and man it spools fast. I can get full 6psi boost (which i'm running most of the time, 10psi for high boost setting when I feel like it) at 2500 rpm!!
usually it's out of breath above 6k rpm. If you're aiming above 275whp i would suggest t3/t04e from typical drag turbo kit.

I ran that turbo on my teg for a couple months, its very fun turbo full boost at around 3k ( i ran 8ish psi) and it will pull to the redline. But as far as 300whp goal is i dont think that turbo will do it.

I had one on a bone stock LS and it did very well. It went 12.4 @110 on 9psi and full spool was @ like 3K. Very good lowend and mid range but it fell off up top. Fun on the track and street but not a turbo for big power. The torque that the LS motors produce on boost is insane so, you'll have fun either way. Good Luck
