Default Sport Compact Jamboree, South Africa.

This is my baby, a 91 Rex. B18 Turbo, Callos front end, ran a 10.1@146, 1.58 60ft.

It's forums such as this one which makes us wanna go quicker in South Africa.
Hope you enjoyed it. Same time next year...lol!

Thanks, but you''ll laugh at what I've got - it's running old-school stuff. B18B, Crower rods/Wiseco tops, 66 turbo, Bilstein drag, only makes 600whp on 32pounds. Victor-X manifiold, Skunk2 turbo cams, locally produced management. Next year it'll see a larger 76 turbo. My problem at the moment is to get my 60ft down. Spinning way too much out the hole, 2nd and 3rd. I'm gonna try 28" M/T this weekend but I doubt the standard B16 tranny will cope. I'm aiming for a 9 second pass@150mph...

South Africans love mix-matching. Here the Mazda 2litre FE motors is the preferred engine, which finds its way into practically anything rear wheel driven. This year though, the Supra 2J motor has been a great hit, especially amongst the top-end bunnies. We race at 6000ft above sea level too. The quickest 4-cylinder here is an 8.5 second GM powered FWD.

Thanks for the comments.
