1st time tuning on dyno. w/b only
well i have car running good been practicing tuning 9 monthes taking it safe. here it is stock b18c, t3t4b super v 48ar, id 1000's. 2.5" downpipe that will go into 3" thermal. I realize 3rd gear pulls. l would like to slowly bring it up keeping fuel right but dont you adjust timeing to where it makes most power. I am trying to learn more about timeing. every time i advance it i do a few runs then check plugs. btw plugs have plenty of fuel on them no little *****. On E85
I feel safe. I have my tip in fuel -76. when i go their all i get is a operator who knows how to use mustang but all you get is hp and tq. he has no sensors of anykind like egt. I can tell there is a lot left in engine. I dont want to know everything just give me a few pointers. I am at the point in my learning i cant do it on the street anymore. a few "what ever you do dont do this.. only $75 per hr. unlimited pulls. using neptune rtp with a tunerview so i get alot of additonal temps. and info. fuel psi is set at 50psi at idle

Yes you have to dial in the timing to make the most power.
Since you're on E85, you'll have a higher tolerance for timing advance without knock, as opposed to pump gas. Look into running a J&S Safegaurd, it will control knock better under all conditions especially if you're pushing the envelope on boost as well.
Generally, the timing curve will be the inverse of the torque curve, to make the best power. Your actual timing numbers will be decided by what you see on the dyno. Dial in the AFR first, then push the timing numbers up until you start seeing knock, then back it off a couple degrees so you have a safety factor.

as for egt i wouldnt worry about it unless its getting hot enough to start melting parts....but with e85 you shouldnt need to worry about egt...just worry about power output and air to fuel ratio when your on the dyno.
those things arent worth their weight in ****.
