Default Rubber strip in RQP cut out, what to do?

Okay, just like the title says. I'm looking for a different opinion here, would it be fine to fiberglass the panels back together or weld them and put a coat of sealant on it. The guy who had this car before cut them out to make room for obnoxiously big tires.

I would vote weld it but it will **** up your paint. Maybe just use panel bonding seam sealer.

Don't care about the paint, its shitty and its all gunna get redone soon anyways. Its rustoleum mixed with thinner sprayed on. I wanna make sure this thing never comes apart after I'm done with it.
