So, we have a cricket problem in my install bay, and its annoying as f@#$!!!! In order to counter act the problem, I captured a praying mantis, and let it roam around in my bay. He likes crickets. His name is George. I have noticed a dramatic decrease in cricket sounds over the last cpl weeks, I was just curious if anyone else had an awesome shop pet? Dogs, cats, tarantulas, snakes, etc... (your part-time high school aged installer doesn't count as a shop pet, LOL!)

 

We have Max the cat, not really ours, it is a stray and comes and goes as he pleases but is a great mouser for the one meal, [and a few cat treats] he gets from us and a warm place in the winter, only around for his morning meal and a mouse or two in the summer, once he pays for the meal, [mouse] he is gone, but hangs around a lot more when it is cold outside. 94

 

Lol. We have a praying mantis too! He just appeared last week and scared the shyt out of me. I was doing a alarm and I look down and this thing was on my leg. He walks around the shop, gets on the lift and chills. We also have a lizard that hangs out to and will let you pick it up. So far that's all we have except for one of our worker gf, lol

 

i had a kitten meander into the shop today, then turned around and left. that's about as close as i've come

 

Im glad you posted that and bumped that thread, bc it made me realize that I havent seen George in a few days :/ Im gonna have to look for him, if I cant find him, Im gonna have to find a new pet that can help me out with some installs... I had thought about my puppy, but, he is a lazy bum when it comes to laundry, so I know he will be as bad as my part timer when it comes to working on cars...

 

SWEET puppy!!!!

 

He's gnarley!!! Lab/boxer mix, crazy smart. He's gained a few pounds since that pic, he is prob about 35 lbs now. Im gonna train him to take my part timers place, he already has more potential than the guy, lol!
