No front sway bar = sloppy front end?
Here's the setup, it's a 99 Civic Si - daily driver.
The car currently has no rear bar and the factory front bar (26mm), with stock springs (200F/100R).
It understeers ALOT and I'm trying to get rid of some of it. There's not really a way to get a smaller front bar, so my question is:
For those that have removed the front sway, does the steering response and overall tightness of the front end suffer alot?

I originally had an ASR brace / 22mm rear but got rid of it.
I think I want to go with no front sway and the 13mm rear. I just want to make sure that if I go without the front sway that the front end doesn't feel real sloppy.

i have a dx with 10k fromt spring and 6k rear and no front sway bar but i added an integra GSR 14mm (yes GSR in a EK) handles pretty amazing but i used to drive one with a front and rear sway bar and it handled better (or it FELT) better but it understeered like a biatch.
take off ur front bar and slap the ASR with ITR back on and youll love it.

so you're saying it "felt" better with the front sway on there too?
I'll probably just disconnect the endlinks tonight and drive around a couple days like that to see if I like it since it's going to be different for everyone.
I mean my thoughts are that on the Type-R setups, they used same front and rear spring rates with basically the same size front and rear sways.
With my front rates double the rear, the rear needs all the help it can get.

Weird setup you'r running now.
It might help stating what kind of handling you'r after.
You like the EK9 setup yet you'v ditched the 22.
EK9 springs are L/P so running L/L may demand some thinking on rear spring rate.

I ditched the 22 because it was too much for just daily driving the car. However, now because I ditched that there's wayyyyy too much understeer at the moment. The car doesn't go where I want it to.
I've found myself not liking ONLY the 26mm front as it's too much without the 22mm rear to balance it.
So I figure no front and a small rear should balance it out nicely and that's the only real option imo as there's no aftermarket smaller front bars.

I have 10k/6k with si sway bars front and rear.
I got bored and dissconected the front and my car felt very weird and i didnt like it.
With the 26mm re hooked up in front and it feels great.
Maybe grab a si or integra rear bar, put it in for a few days and see how you like it. Then dissconect the front endlinks and see if you like it.
Have you considerd removing the 26mm and putting the 22mm out of the ex in it?
Of corse you would have to switch the lca's.
May i ask what you didnt like about the 22mm rear bar? Too much oversteer?
Im considering getting one.

UPDATE. I removed the 26mm front - I have to say I love it, MUCH better feeling imo. I have the 13mm rear on order
The reason I ditched the rear 22mm is because I never used the full potential, but don't get me wrong - I loved the way it handled.
