Default spring rate help!

ok so i hate my skunk 2 set up because they are too stiff. i've done some research and im really considering GC coilovers. i already have brand new after market shocks so i will be using them. here is my issue, my car will not be used for any kind of track or drag racing of any kind. i enjoy a lowered car and thats it. with that said i was considering 200lbs rear and 300lbs front or 250r and 350f. my car is a eg with a b series swap and i want the smoothest ride i can get with coil overs. so which would you consider? thanks for your help.

Those rates sound ok. Id go with 400f 300r probably. But if you want a little softer ride the rates you picked would work. Anyway you can always get new springs they are cheap.

yeah i just want the best ridding car that i can have with coil overs. i drive 50 miles to work one way and the roads in atl suck! where could i pick up the springs instead of buying the whole setup? i al ready have the skunk2 sleeves so if i could just change the springs that would be great.

EK9 is 240L/P, and being a Type-R it would hardly have less stiff springs than an EG, let alone an EG having stiffer springs than a S2K.

so with this info above i should shoot for some 350f and 250r to have a ride near stock since the car is lowered and the spring will need to work a little more to not bottom out. my main problem now is my rear springs are so stiff any bump i hit is hard and bouncy. my front springs seem to be ok but i would like to go a little lighter so that my car will do more of a flow instead of a hard bounce.

you might wanna consider rebound rates, sometimes if your springs are to soft your shocks will bottom out

I am absolutely happy with my ITR shocks and springs. I installed last week and the ride height is 1" lower than OEM, but retained factory ride quality. And the price was better than a set of new springs.

i like my car low. not slammed but low. i have 16s and i tuck a little tire in the front and rear. no stock springs would make me happy.

Well to each their own, I was just throwing another option at you. The ITR suspension suits my needs, wants and taste for my car.

I ride on 15" wheels and I have right around 15/16" to 1" of wheels gap.

most spring rates are listed at team integra in an article. no linear spring will be as nice to drive down the freeway as a progressive. if comfort and better handling are your thing the tein h tech is really hard to beat. progressive and slightly stiffer than the oem itr rates. it's literally the spring the 94+ integra should have came with from the factory.

with coilovers.....you can buy whatever rates you want. comfort is subjective
