Default Acceleration Issue around 3k RPM's?

Alright guys, I have this issue with my car and I have no idea where to start with this. I had a turbo kit on my car but I took the kit off. I am now running a D16A1 motor naturally aspirated with an intake and exhaust. Now that I have taken the turbo kit off the car is not exactly running right. If I accelerate up around 3k rpms the car will bog and sputter and if I keep on it at wide open throttle the car will come out of the sputtering and accelerate up. I am not sure what could be causing this...

When I took the turbo kit off I swapped the injectors from DSM450's to the stock injectors? I was thinking maybe a clogged injector? I put some fuel system cleaner in the gas and ran it about 5 miles and it seems to be better now but still acts up sometimes. The other issue is that perhaps it may be from lacking a front o2 sensor on the header? I am not sure if you guys think I may be right or wrong?

I was also told that this sounds like it could possibly be a spark / ignition issue? Thanks in advance for all of your help...

no O2 sensor is your problem, car cant run in closed loop if it isnt chipped i dont believe. get an o2 hooked up and you should be good. even if someone disagrees with me you should do it anyways just to rule it out

Sounds good...for 65 bucks I would rather rule that out than not. The other thing was, it is not always doing it, it seems as if the car only acts up sometimes...could this possibly be from an o2 sensor?

Id clean out the IACV real well if you havent done that already. What are the symptoms after you said you ran fuel system cleaner? same as before just less frequent, or just a hiccup around 3k then it clears up?

Same symptoms just not as severe, and not nearly as frequent lately. I also took off the throttle body and cleaned it all out. There was a ton of carbon in the throttle body but now it is spotless and I used emory cloth and sanded it down so that its down to just the metal and got all of the carbon off of the throttle.

okay i see, the most important thing i gather from what you said was that it cleared up if your pushed through it at wot, at wot the car runs in open loop and doesnt take information from the sensors (such as O2) and simply takes values from the stock map, when crusing, your in closed loop, therefore your missing O2 sensor would cause all kinds of problems. I'm guessing you have a CEL correct? did you check for any other codes ?

Nope, no CEL and no other codes being thrown. I am going to throw the O2 sensor in and see if that helps.

I am using the stock ECU with the chip and jumper for the boost tune off and taken out...and I have no idea but I don't have a cat in the car, and no CEL light lit.

Alright guys so after looking at the car I found the issue. The no-start issue was caused by the water pump sensor connector being disconnected. As soon as I put the water pump connector back on it started right up. I happened to have an O2 sensor in my garage so I threw it into the car. Everything is running fine now...the car takes a few cranks to start up and it sputters the very first time I give it gas, but once that initial sputter is out the car is running great. Thanks guys!
