5 volt ecu modification (for wideband users)
brilliant mod.., very basic too.. from marklamond at pgmfi.org
here is the link
http://www.marklamond.co.uk/tech-honda/pgm-fi/o2-input/o2-input.htm
1) get a 10uF capacitor
2) remove R5 resistor
3) de-solder the right most hole below c70
more detailed instructions from the above link... here are some pics of my ecu.. (after mod)

Got a question, U have any trouble with wideband reading on the gauge and Crome doesn't read it? I have it hook to d14, but for some reason on my car it won't read and om other car it does, may be something wrong with some resistor or something, and also my main question, is it necessary to do that mode? Is it just allow a wider reading?
its not necessary but if you don't do it the ecu range is somewhat limited, however its still fully functional in the important areas.
if the car is getting the signal from the wide band SOME of the time, its probably a wiring problem. trace all the wiring and look for anything suspicious.
edit: for how easy and cheap the mod is, its definitely something i will do to every ecu i work on (which isn't many)

Yea I for sure gonna do that, I notice when I tune other ppl car, some of them run so rich or lean before adjustment, it won't record any reading on datalog.
I using aem wideband, before I was using lc1 and lc1 didmt even show reading on the gauge, but aem did, but crome just show 11.04. And won't change reading. Which makes it super hard to fine tune. What about eld signal? I know I can do it on hondata. But is there settings I can able use eld as o2 signal? I was thinking posible transistor on o2 circuit is bad. Do u happen know which one?
Sorry for bunch of question, but I been searching and couldn't find any info

crome doesn't have the eld option for the o2... it should.., but this mod is super easy.., and yes it's old news..., but somewhat forgotten.., only known by advanced tuners, for the most part...
I have the lc-1, and what I did was reprogram the yellow wire the same as the brown wire.. both wires outputs were set to:
0.00v --> 7.3 a/f
5.00v --> 22.4 a/f
then I ran the brown wire to the guage, and the yellow wire to d14, disabled o2, and heater in crome..., and adjust the offset to match the guage readings... my offset is -0.02
how did you hook your lc-1 up..? did you calibrate it already?
I'm sure you know how important the grounds are... and thats no bullsh*t
in a perfect world, no offset adjustment would be needed.. I have a good ground, and still I needed to make a small adjustment..., it doesn't take much to throw everything off something crazy
maybe check your ecu for faulty soldering.., re-melt some points if necessary.., have you removed j12 from the ecu..?
Well at first the lc1 work perfect for all the car I work on, once awhile I do have problem the wideband not working, I calibrated before. On my car is obd2a using a jumper, brown wire hook to d14, and red and white hook to power and ecu ground, then blue and black to chasis ground.
It work before but for my car it did not, I use the db gauage and it doesn't work.
So I hook it up to 97 ek hatch, and it work, so I sold it to him, and got me aem, same setup, white to d14 and hook the power and ground, my gauage have reading, but no reading on Crome.
And I don't think is wiring becuz it take signal from d14 straight to u
Ecu, so I thinking may be transistor for the o2 is bad on the board, I not sure, it was p30.
And above all the settings u mention, yes it same thing I done, except I didn't use yellow wire, but since I don't have the lc1 anymore, that I only using aem now. But I think the problem is not on wideband I think is ecu could get a reading.

Sorry about the post earlier.
It's come down to d14 won't take signal from wideband, I had tried with other cars, wideband sending signal just fine, but some reason it is not taking a reading with the ecu.
So it let me believe it is in the ecu, and it seen to be a common problem, so I gonna attend the wideband mod, and see the problem will fix.
On pinout it said d12 is not being use by anything, but if it work, that be great. But also anyone know what's the problem with d14? O2 circuit om the board somewhere?
I gonna try to remelt all the solder make sure connection is good, but I don't think that's the problem, thx
